How to Burn Flip Video to DVD on Windows

Click on ‘Add items’ in the top toolbar of Windows DVD Maker. Browse and add the videos you have just converted from the output folder of Doremisoft Flip Converter. Then you can check the total time length of the DVD and name your DVD in the ‘DVD title’ text box.

Step 3: Set DVD Options
Click on ‘Options’. In the ‘DVD Options’ dialog, you can select an aspect ratio, TV standard (NTSC or PAL, if your DVDs will only be viewed in USA, you can just select NTSC), and you can also set the DVD burner speed, etc.

Under ‘Compatibility’ tab, you can enable or disable video filters installed on your PC.

Click ‘OK’ to save the settings you have just set.

Step 4: Customize DVD Menu
Click ‘Next’ to go to the ‘Ready to burn DVD’ page. In the pane on the right side, select a ‘Menu Style’ from the available menu styles. You can also click on “Customize menu” to change the font settings, choose between several button styles for the ‘Scenes’ view of the DVD, select foreground/background videos for the DVD menu, and select the background audio etc.

When you are done with the changes, click on ‘Change Style’.

Step 5: Preview and burn
Before you click the ‘Burn’ button, you can take a preview of your DVD by clicking the ‘Preview’ button to play the video, jump to chapters, and navigate through the DVD menu pages. Now, if everything is good, you can just insert a blank DVD disc to your disc drive and click the ‘Burn’ button to start burning. Then, you can just relax and wait for the burning to be finished.

Apple has taken the wraps off their new web browser. Today the company has announced that the Apple Safari 5.0.1 is now available for download, but before you get it on, here are a few details you should know about it.

The specs sheet mentions the fact that one of the biggest additions are the support for extensions. What are extensions you ask? Firefox and Chrome users have been used with extensions for a while now. They’re those small add-ons on your browse that bring flexibility to your daily routine; for example blocking unwanted advertising, showing details about a website (Alexa or Google PageRank values) or enhancing your social networking needs.

Safari Extensions are built with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript web standards, and can have all the power and functionality of advanced web applications. Every Safari Extension is signed with a digital certificate from Apple to prevent tampering and to verify that updates to the extension are from the original developer. Safari Extensions are sandboxed, so they can’t access information on a user’s system or communicate with websites aside from those specified by the developer. For increased stability, Safari Extensions run solely in the browser.

Jailbreaking the iPad might void your Apple warranty and even your terms of service from AT&T, but there is no need to worry now. The US government has just ruled the practice legal under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The exemption applies for three years until the next rulemaking review, bringing the practices of independent software developers into the mainstream.

Though Apple had been arguing that jailbreaking iPad is illegal under the DMCA, as copyright protections can be circumvented when an iPad is running unofficial modifications to its operating system or unsanctioned software applications, the US Copyright Office did not believe that the only reason for most consumers to jailbreak iPad is to pirate software and violate copyright law.

The ruling explains, “When one jailbreaks a smartphone in order to make the operating system on that phone interoperable with an independently created application that has not been approved by the maker of the smartphone or the maker of its operating system, the modifications that are made purely for the purpose of such interoperability are fair uses.” That’s to say, when you buy the device, you have the right to run whatever software you like, no matter who developed the program.
