VirtualBox is a virtual system software and was originally developed by a German software company first, Sun acquired later and renamed it as Sun VirtualBox, the performance is greatly improved. Because of open source, unlike the VM, VirtualBox can be run on Linux / Mac and Windows and support in which to install Windows (NT 4.0,2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS / Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4 and 2.6), OpenBSD, etc. If you ever have the experience of using virtual machine software, I believe that it is easy for you to use VirtualBox.
